The internship is designed to expose students to the corporate world during their university studies. The internship is part of the academic curriculum and involves the acquisition of a predetermined number of credits (CFU). For the Automation Engineering degree program, “Ord. 270” (D.M. 270/2004), 15 credits are assigned. Each internship is assigned a reference number defined as the “code.”

Internships must be requested before they begin and cannot be recognized retroactively.
Activation of the internship
PHASE 1: Identification
Type A (Career Service portal): A student selects an offer, participates in an interview, and, if successful, submits the proposal to the designated professor for approval.

Type B (independent search): The student finds a company (where they must not be an employee), submits a written proposal to the designated professor for approval, and if accepted, follows the registration procedure.

If the student is an employee of the company, special approval from the Study Program Council is required.
PHASE 2: Agreement and Training Plan
The company must:
Activate the agreement (if not already in place) at least 10 days before the start.
Complete the training plan with details about the internship at least 3 days before the start.

The student must have the training plan signed by the academic and company tutors and send it to the SAT for final approval. Only after official confirmation can the internship begin.
PHASE 3: Internship Execution
The intern must adhere to what is outlined in the training plan and report any changes via email.
Extension: allowed only to complete the training objectives.
Interruption: possible if the minimum number of hours is reached before the end.
An internship without proper activation is not valid and does not have insurance coverage.
